The BNZ – BusinessNZ Performance of Services Index (PSI) is a monthly survey providing an early indicator of levels of activity in the New Zealand service sector.

New Zealand’s services sector began 2016 with a solid level of expansion. The PSI for January was 55.4, while this was 3.1 points lower than December it still represented healthy activity in the sector.

Activity in New Zealand’s services sector rose to its highest level since November 2007, according to the BNZ – BusinessNZ Performance of Services Index (PSI).

The Performance of Services Index maintained a solid growth pulse in July. It all suggests a decent start to the third quarter of the year for a big chunk of the economy.
